OUR COMMITMENT

SGE has committed to sustainability for his own office building. When the building was purchased in 2006, all light fixtures were replaced with energy-efficient bulbs. SGE also recycles cans and paper.

Now SGE is in the process of installing a 100kW wind turbine to generate 75% of the power need for its office building. The 100kW wind turbine will be the first one installed on Aquidneck Island for commercial use.
